Date of construction of the first buildings, under the name of Manoir de Bièville. Normandy was at the time on the front line in the war between the Crown of England and the Kingdom of France during the so-called Hundred Years War.
In 1463, the Manor became the possession of Anne de Chastel, who inherited the Estate.
It will remain the property of the family until the end of the 17th century. In 1710, the daughter of the Lord of Bièville married Jean Antoine de Costard, Sieur de la Rançonnière and thus gave his name to the Domaine. The entire Manor is then rebuilt.
Only the tower is preserved and even today you can admire the trompe l'oeil murals representing a gigantic dovecote. On June 15, 1927, the porch was listed in the additional inventory of historic buildings and on November 5, 1970, the facades of the Manor and the roofs were also listed there.

The activity of the Ferme de la Rançonnière is gradually resuming the normal course of its operation.
In July 1967, the activity of bed and breakfast began timidly, when a couple of Belgian tourists broke down in front of the building and for lack of availability in a hotel in the area, the owner at the time offered them , to help them out, lodging and food for the evening.
They were the first customers of La Rançonnière, the first of a long series which still continues today.
