| Besides his initial mission of fortress, this castle, pearl of the revival set up in the XIth and XIIth centuries played an important role during the landing of 1944 because the war journalists-correspondents had installed their headquarters in the magnificent square tower. An event which today is commemorated with the creation of a museum dedicated to the radio material.
